On Wednesday 28 May 2025, the town of Neustadt presents the "Max-Oscar-Arnold-Award“ for Contemporary Art Dolls in ten categories and four special categories:

1. The best Toy Doll (Cash prize €500)
2.1 The best representation of a Baby (Cash prize €500)
2.2 The best representation of a Child (Cash prize €500)
3. The best representation of a Youth (Cash prize €500)
4. The best representation of an Adult (Cash prize €500)
5. The best Portrait Doll (Cash prize €500)
6. The best Fantasy Doll (Cash prize €500)
7. The best Miniature Doll (scale 1:12) (Cash prize €500)
8. The best Caricature (Cash prize €500)
9. The best Thematic Work (Cash prize €500)

Special Categories:

10. Experimental Doll Art (Cash prize €1,000)
      (up to 2 prizewinners, each €500)
11. Newcomer Award (Cash prize €1,000)
      (up to 2 prizewinners, each €500)
12. Winners' Category (Cash prize €1,000)
      (up to 2 prizewinners, each €500)
13. The best complete works of an established artist (Cash prize €2,500)

Any person may participate in the Max-Oscar-Arnold-Award, regardless of their ethnic origin and skin color, country of origin, religion, world view, disability, age, sexual orientation, biological sex or gender identity. All participants will be treated equally and admitted to the competition.

For reasons of better readability, the language forms male, female and diverse (m/f/d) are not used simultaneously. All references to persons apply equally to all genders.
